Zega Pro cases from Touratech provide dry and safe storage for adventure riders around the world. The body and removable lid feature rounded lines with sturdy corner protection that is easily replaceable. Low-profile anchor loops provide a flat surface that makes the saddlebag a good seat at the campfire while allowing secure anchoring of additional soft luggage.

With a lightweight yet stable design, this side case is available for 31, 38 and 45 liters capacity, made entirely of 1.5 mm thick, waterproof and dustproof aluminum, manufactured with the best materials.

The aluminum cases of Touratech, consists of 3 parts that make up the entire case. These are the lid and the base, which is attached to the walls of the case by rivets and a seal that makes them completely watertight. They are not welded, but are a single 1.5 mm thick aluminum plate in the body, lid and base of the case.

This feature, with the absence of welding points, gives the side case total resistance and makes them indestructible. This total watertightness could have been a problem when going up/down mountain passes due to pressure differences, which could make it impossible to open the case. Therefore, Touratech has incorporated a safety valve that allows equalizing the pressure between the inside and outside of the trunk as you go up or down mountain passes.

In terms of finish, the Zega Pro and Zega EVO cases from Touratech are available in natural aluminum, silver anodized and black anodized finishes. The anodized treatment consists of an electrochemical process, which prevents oxidation of the material, and therefore the ugly gray spots that can occur on aluminum as a result of oxidation.

To this process, some additives are added to color the material. Unlike painting the surface of the case, by changing the color of the material, the surface is much more resistant to the small scratches that can easily be seen on natural aluminum or black painted cases.

The plastic side corners on the Zega PRO and Zega EVO models are attached to the outside of the case, unlike other models in the industry where the corners are part of the case structure.

We are not content with a simple plastic structure, trimmed with preformed aluminum parts for visual appearance only. The lid and base of the ZEGA Pro are welded together, resulting in maximum connection rigidity, high quality rivets in the base and liner. There are no weld seams at the edges, which often lead to a lack of tightness. A high-quality silicone gasket provides maximum protection for the contents of the case.

The case lid, made of a single sheet of aluminum, is extremely robust and is designed to withstand enormous amounts of pressure.

The extremely robust protective strip on the case is screwed on and can therefore be easily changed and replaced, e.g. after a fall. The same applies to the stable protective corners of the case cover, which can be removed completely or opened on one side only, the latches serve as hinges.

The four extra luggage hooks do not protrude excessively above the surface of the case so that you can sit on the part comfortably.

Technical Characteristics of the ZEGA PRO Case System

Structure: The luggage rack from Touratech is the strongest in the industry with 18 mm diameter tubes made in Germany with 2 mm thick side walls that form a rectangular "ring" on both sides of the bike to give them the necessary structure. The innovative cross luggage rack system bolts directly to the bike's subframe, transferring the load from the panniers directly to the bike's chassis. Other manufacturers' mounting systems emphasize a "minimalist" look when the cases are off the bike, causing safety and reliability to be compromised in critical situations. Luggage racks are available in electropolished stainless steel or black stainless steel.

Quick release: Touratech Zega Pro aluminum panniers are attached to the stainless steel pannier rack by means of a steel tensioning wheel on the inner side of the pannier which allows easy attachment/detachment of the pannier to the pannier rack. It allows a very safe, easy and fast adjustment.

Waterproofing: All Touratech cases have a deep groove aluminum interface with silicone gasket. This provides dustproof and waterproof storage, even in heavy rain and water crossings. Some case manufacturers cut corners with a plastic interface between the lid and the case, which creates a weak link and often results in breakage and water intrusion.

Dual function latch: This latch functions as a release or as a hinge. It allows quick access by releasing one side while the other functions as a hinge. Release both latches to completely remove the lid for easy packing or use as a camping tray.

Dimensions: The overall width of the 31/38 liter system is 96.5 cm. The overall width of the 38/45 liter system is 104cm. The high ground clearance of the panniers allows you to traverse deep sandy sections or ruts and to corner at higher speeds.
