Technical specifications and engineering details:

Structure: Touratech mounting system is the strongest in the industry with 18mm diameter steel tube frames built in Germany with 2mm thick sidewalls forming a rectangular "hoop" on both sides of the bike to support the panniers. The innovative cross-braced rack system bolts directly to the motorcycle subframe and transfers the load from the case directly to the motorcycle chassis. Other manufacturers' mounting systems emphasize a "minimalist" look when the cases are off the bike. The sacrifice, inherent in those designs, is compromised safety and reliability that often result in critical failures.

Quick Disassembly: Touratech Zega Pro cases attach to steel mounting racks using steel mounting brackets and high-strength composite in four locations. This design offers a very secure fit and can be quickly released to remove the cases.

Waterproof: all Touratech panniers have a deep groove aluminum interface with silicone seal. This provides dust protection and waterproof storage even when riding rain and water crossings. Some case manufacturers cut corners with a plastic interface between the lid and the case. This creates a weak link and often results in breakage and water intrusion.

Dual function latch: This latch will function as a release or hinge. It allows quick access by releasing one side while the other functions as a hinge. Release both latches to remove the lid completely, making it easy to pack or use the lid as a camping utility tray.

Security: A spring-loaded security latch ensures the lid stays closed and its discreet location enhances security. Optional key locks fully secure the boxes and are quick and easy to install.
