Extension of the original footboard protection from BMW R1200GS Adventure (from 2014)

Even more protection for adventure seekers and their Adventure GS. The stainless steel crash bar extension Touratech comes into play when the original crash bar of the R 1200 GS Adventure reaches its limits. Something that can happen sooner than you might think. Namely when the motorcycle tips over the crash bar resulting in damage to the fairing or even the delicate aluminum tank. This can not only cost money, but in the worst case, a trip can end abruptly and prematurely.
This protective footpeg extension made of sturdy electropolished stainless steel is easy to maintain and rust resistant. Its clever four-point bolted attachment transmits the forces generated in the event of a fall or collision to the frame so that possible damage is reduced to a minimum. Even deep scratches can be easily rectified by sanding.

Additional information on attachment: the protective footpeg extension Touratech is bolted at two points to the main frame of the motorcycle and the original protective footpeg, in order in the event of a fall or crash to better distribute the forces generated and protect the motorcycle against serious damage. In addition, two additional attachment points on the crash bar provide additional stability to the crash bar extension. All parts required for mounting are included in the scope of delivery. No special tools are required.
