The fender lift system at Touratech prevents mud compressed between the wheel and fender from blocking the front wheel.
The 1190 Adventure, despite being a touring motorcycle, has a relatively tight front fender, especially when using grip band tires.

The original fender is retained in its entirety, but is raised by a decisive 15 mm. This distance is usually sufficient to prevent the front wheel and fender from sticking together. So you can continue on the road, even in unfavorable conditions with a lot of mud.
