Unlike the originals, these handguards do not attach to the control unit or brake unit mountings, but directly to the tubular handlebar. This considerably reduces the risk of breaking the handbrake lever clamp in a fall, thus compromising the continuity of the ride. The hand protection can be combined with the various spoilers and thus provides optimum protection against wind and weather.
