The original Pan America fender is positioned very close to the front wheel. If you use TKC 80 or other similar enduro tires, the gap becomes even smaller. Then you will find that even small mud patches are a problem: mud builds up and the front wheel could lock up.
The Touratech riser for the original Harley-Davidson Pan America fender is very easy to install. A stainless steel adapter goes between the tire and fender, increasing the clearance by 15 mm . You continue to use the original fender without any modifications.
