We have adopted from cross-country riding the potentiometer guard for the shock caps.

It's easy to inadvertently hit the boot on the potentiometer without realizing it, changing the settings. Our elegant and at the same time unobtrusive protector effectively prevents this.

In combination with the bike of course with a black plastic spray.
