The Dainese Antartica 2 GORE-TEX pants have been designed inspired by the latest research on the non-extension lines of the human body carried out by Dainese and MIT to design the new suits to be worn by future astronauts who will travel to Mars. This pant is the product of the brotherhood between the latest protection technology and ergonomics that provides total freedom of movement while on the bike.
A 45-millimeter GORE-TEX laminated membrane is the element that acts as protection against rain and snow, making the wearer's journey easier and more comfortable, while guaranteeing maximum breathability.
Not to be forgotten is the removable Fill Power down lining, which is the element of the jacket that ensures the thermal insulation of the rider when riding through particularly cold places. Other elements that help to keep the wearer's body temperature constant are the large vents on the thighs that are really easy to operate even when wearing gloves and while riding.
This pant is a benchmark in terms of safety, including certified Pro-Armor type B Level 2 protectors on the knees and hips but in a way that does not adversely affect freedom of movement or ventilation. This is because Dainese 's Pro-Armor technology is inspired by the geometry of fractals that can be found in nature.
In addition, those areas that are most sensitive to impact have been reinforced with an engineered fabric that is highly resistant to abrasion and wear, Trixior D-Tec.
