how does the Tectonic H2O pant work? Well, it consists of an inner layer of ultra-stretch mesh under the liner, and an outer waterproof hydratex 3L layer over the liner.

The mesh layer has a Class AA safety rating (hip and knee protectors + leg protectors included), while the waterproof outer layer has a Class B CE certification, but without protectors.

Comfort at every turn. The idea behind the Tectonic H2O pants was that the mesh pants would feature maximum comfort and flexibility, offering the feeling of wearing sportswear while riding. But when the weather takes a turn for the worse, you can easily put on the waterproof layer without having to remove your boots, thanks to two long, easy-access zippers from the waist down. The outer layer also has stretch at the ankle, calves and upper legs. And to keep you in place on the bike when it's wet, leather gripper patches have been added to the inside of the knee and seat.
