Motorcycle Jacket Touratech Companion Rambler

The Compañero Rambler is an absolutely waterproof and breathable all-season touring suit designed to meet the highest demands, made from the highest quality 3-layer Gore-Tex laminate. The quality and well thought-out construction, as well as the use of the best materials, guarantee an extremely wide range of applications. The Touratech Compañero Rambler has been developed in collaboration with the renowned motorcycle clothing manufacturer Rev'it!

It provides comfort and safety on the road in all seasons, from the coldest temperatures to tropical conditions. The extensive new ventilation elements on the one hand and the warm, absolutely windproof outer skin on the other hand are supported by a complete leisure jacket as an inner liner, which you can wear separately.

The fit is perfect for sporty and active motorcyclists and is admirably suited for high speeds on the highway or off-road riding during enduro tours on lonely tracks.

Air cooling

A detail to pay special attention to is the ventilation function of the VCS Aquadefense system patented by Rev'it (EU patent EP 2574249, EE.UU. patent US 13/630,520), which is integrated into both the jacket and the pants. This system consists of openings with flaps that can be opened when necessary to expose large ventilation areas. They are held open, without flapping, by Fidlock magnetic closures and allow direct ventilation to the body. These special magnets ensure an absolutely secure hold and can be operated with one hand. When closed, the Aquadefense system is 100% wind and water resistant.

The large VCS (Ventilation Control System) front ventilation consists of a 3 cm wide ventilation gap and a double zipper, where the opening height of the outer zipper determines the amount of cooling air. The second zipper ensures that the jacket remains tightly closed. When closed, the high-quality Tizip brand outer zipper ensures absolute waterproofness, as well as acting as a windbreaker.

All VCS vents are backed by a three-dimensional Ballistic Mesh gauze fabric.

Two ventilation zippers, with waterproof construction, ensure ventilation of the upper arms, and two carefully placed ventilation zippers on the back ensure the necessary airflow.

Ergonomics and fit

The entire suit is as lightweight as possible while still meeting test specifications for protective clothing. This will help you maintain your concentration while riding.

In addition to the perfect cut, stretch zones at the knees, waist and buttocks ensure a comfortable fit and additional freedom of movement, to further increase riding comfort. The optimally positioned and individually adjustable compression straps at the chest, back, calf and forearm are equipped with width adjusters and can be easily operated.

The Touratech Compañero Rambler features a comprehensive protection package consisting of certified back, shoulder, elbow, hip and knee protectors. All of these protectors are located where they can ensure protection even with the vents fully open. The elbow and knee protectors can be positioned at an adjustable height. The back protector is located in an open-pore 3D mesh pocket. This promotes water vapor removal and improves breathability and ventilation.

The two connection zippers on both the jacket and pants allow for a secure connection. The dual design also ensures that it can be used with a large number of products Rev'it!

The continuously adjustable compression straps make it easy to adjust the width of the pants at the waist, hiding the suspender fasteners on the inside. These pants have a classic, removable liner. Features such as the leather inner leg that extends past the knee, or the Armacor reinforced seat area with additional anti-slip trim, serve to provide better control and a secure grip on your motorcycle.

Inner jacket and leisure jacket

On cold days, the windproof, water-repellent and highly breathable inner jacket takes center stage. It zippers into the motorcycle jacket and is made of Hydratex® Windbarrier®, a 3-layer laminate with a super-soft inner surface, a membrane and Ripstop outer material. Thus, it provides a perfect thermal lining.

At the same time, the warm and lightweight inner jacket functions as a comfortable-to-wear leisure jacket with a sporty cut and high functionality thanks to its three closable outer pockets and small size for folding and storage.

Quality

The 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro laminate, used extensively in the Rambler Companion, with double layers in vulnerable areas and reflective material on the upper body and legs, was developed for riding in extreme conditions. The membrane is bonded between the durable outer shell and a robust inner material and provides an incredible water column of 28,000 millimeters for maximum waterproofing, preventing the material from soaking through. This speeds drying, prevents evaporative cooling and expels water droplets as they drip into the air stream.

The areas at risk in the event of a fall are particularly resistant thanks to Armacor material, a Gore synthetic fiber material extremely resistant to tearing and abrasion, reinforced with Kevlar yarns.

The 3M Scotchlite reflective material returns incident light, sharply focused, back to the light source through extremely high reflectivity, resulting in significantly improved visibility at dusk and in the dark.

Zippers from market leaders YKK and Tizip, as well as magnetic closures from Fidlock, demonstrate the use of the best materials.

Security

The Rambler's complete set of protectors consists of back, shoulder, elbow, hip and knee protectors. All protectors are tested and certified.

Seesoft: The high-impact blend of multilayer nitrile polymers and polynorbene rubber for the flexible insert of the back protector creates a memory foam that, without sacrificing comfort, ventilation or freedom of movement, allows it to withstand multiple impacts in a row.

In the event of a severe impact, the impact energy is distributed by deforming each of the memory foam layers, minimizing the impact of the force on the back and spine.

Seeflex: The Seeflex™ concept is a unique new technology involving a novel material and innovative construction that provides the protectors with protection, flexibility and breathability, and passes the most severe impact tests in line with EN1621-1:2012 CE level 2, in any circumstances and at any temperature.

Seesmart: Seesmart™ protectors adapt to the human anatomy thanks to their flat construction, and expand in case of impact, absorbing energy through the numerous hexagonal knots. They offer maximum flexibility and comply with all impact tests in line with EN1621-1:2012.

Approval

With tested protectors and a suit certified to EN 17092-3:2020, the Compañero Rambler meets the "AA" class of personal protective equipment for motorcyclists, whereby all components and materials used for the suit, from fabrics to sewing thread, are constantly tested.
