The Extreme shock is equipped with a Position Sensitive Damping System (PDS), which uses a second damping piston to provide hydraulic protection against bottoming out.

Even fully loaded with luggage in the most extreme off-road conditions, the bike will not bottom out and the shock is protected against mechanical overload.

Damping requirements are variable depending on the type of road. In most situations the rider rides his bike through; the shock absorber is set up for a flat ride; before the PDS is activated for the last part of the shock absorber travel.

This means that the Extreme setting range accommodates different luggage loads; from a backseat bag to a fully loaded luggage system, or of course, our inseparable passenger.

The balance of the bike can be restored in an agile and decisive way through a handwheel that adjusts the spring preload.

The precise damping adjustment on the external reservoir makes it easy for you to adjust the suspension in a specific and concrete way to suit your personal riding habits at any time, on any road and for any purpose; whether on highways, back roads, off-road or cross-country trails. The basic standard configuration is intended for riders up to 100 kg including luggage. Modifications are possible for a heavier rider (over 100 kg) and/or if the bike is usually ridden with a passenger and/or luggage.
