Simply put, the Touratech Suspension Cartridge Kit Extreme is a shock tube for the fork and the ultimate expression of suspension technology. This cartridge conversion completely transforms the front end of your KTM 790 Adventure or Adventure R with all new damping characteristics that cannot be achieved with other forks. If you want to turn your 790 into the Rally Bike it was meant to be, look no further.
The Closed Cartridge mounts to the original fork. Feature that allows the original fork bridge/handlebar support, brakes, wheel guide and steering geometry to be retained. No additional modifications to the fork are required. This Closed Cartridge is specifically designed for long-haul touring and uses where load and riding conditions change frequently and abruptly.

Simpleinstallation since no irreversible machining is required .This kit includes everything you need to install the fork suspension system. Cartridges come pre-fitted, oil-filled and nitrogen charged. Simply install and mount.
The enclosed cartridge separates air and oil to prevent foaming .This direct damping technology ensures that your fork will perform consistently even in harsh environments.
The separation strip offers ultra-fast responsiveness due to minimal friction and eliminates foaming by pressurizing the oil.
Adjustable compression damping allows absolute control of fork setting to give you the precise handling characteristics you want in any condition .With 20 clicks of adjustment, you can control how quickly the fork compresses. If it feels too firm, you can reduce the compression damping. If the bike is riding too fast, feels too soft or is bottoming out, you can increase the compression damping.
Preload adjustment is easily made by turning the steel nut to achieve the proper ride height and use the suspension to its full potential.
Easy access with all adjustment screws located on the top of the fork .Compression damping, rebound damping and preload can be adjusted while sitting on the bike. This makes it easier to adjust the suspension and make it work the way you want it to.
The 35mm high-strength aluminum cartridge body is lightweight and maximizes heat dissipation to ensure consistent damping.
The large-volume cartridge retains more oil, which is optimal in colder temperatures since this damping remains constant, resulting in longer service life.
Chrome-plated steel piston rod prevents wear and offers maximum strength and durability.

that the Extreme kit's adjustment range balances any luggage volume, from a rear bag to a fully loaded luggage system and/or riding with a passenger. Preload, rebound and compression are fully adjustable from the top. The oil in the shock absorber is contained in a closed cartridge, which makes it possible to dose the amount of oil exactly. As a result, the Closed Cartridge offers a significantly more responsive and comfortable fork response. The extremely precise damping settings allow precise, effective adjustment to suit your personal riding style at all times and in all riding conditions, regardless of whether you are riding on fast roads, secondary roads, trail sections, long-distance tours with lots of luggage or a fast, sporty riding style. In case the front wheel encounters extreme road conditions, the integrated "Hydraulic Endstop" prevents the fork from reaching the mechanical stop.
