The shock absorber Touratech Suspension Extreme is in the absolute premium class of suspension components. This extreme shock absorber for the KTM 790 Adventure / R is perfectly suited to riding with frequent dramatic changes in load and riding conditions, and the most extreme demands .
The Extreme shock is equipped with a Position Sensitive Damping System (PDS), which uses a second damping piston to provide hydraulic bottom-out protection. Even fully loaded with luggage in the most extreme off-road conditions, the motorcycle will not bottom out and the shock remains protected against mechanical overload. Damping characteristics change according to the road surface. When riding in most conditions, the shock adjusts comfortably for less strenuous riding.

Remote reservoir, made of high-strength aluminum, keeps fluid cool and ensures pressure stability in the shock, resulting in better performance .The reservoir also increases fluid volume by 50%, extending the life of your shock absorber.
High-flow fittings are oversized to allow 96% more oil flow between the reservoir and shock.
Adjustable high and low speed compression damping allows absolute control of shock tuning to give you the precise handling characteristics you want in any condition.
Adjustablerebound damping allowsyou to adjust the ride characteristics to suit your preferences.
50% more preload adjustment than other shocks on the market .A generous 15mm of adjustment allows for proper spring preload settings for a fully loaded adventure bike. Most shocks are 8-10 mm, which is not enough to accommodate varying amounts of long-distance luggage.
Hydraulic spring preload adjustment allows quick changes in preload by turning the knob by hand.
A floating piston separates air and oil to prevent foaming .This technology ensures that your shock will perform consistently even in harsh environments.
The 6082 T6 aluminum shock body offers high strength and maximum heat dissipation.
Low friction seal with integrated Teflon back-up ring maximizes performance and extends shock life.

The basic configuration installed here is designed for riders up to 100 kg including luggage .Modifications are possible
for heavier riders (over 100 kg) and/or if the motorcycle is usually ridden with a passenger / with luggage. In this case, individually modify the shock absorber to suit your needs by installing a spring with a higher spring rate.
