The necessary adjustment is done by hand and the shock tube is adjusted as required. The PDS hydraulic puncture protection system ensures that the Telelever system does not end up "on the ground" even in the roughest terrain. For the 2013-2017 BMW R1200GS (LC) without DDC (Dynamic Damping Control)suspension,Touratech Suspension offers a "conventional" alternative. The "Extreme" shock tube is made of identical precision elements and components that have already proven their full suitability in our suspensions, tested over thousands of kilometers in the harshest conditions. Even in the toughest track situations with full luggage no punctures occur, the PDS hydraulic puncture protection system prevents a mechanical overload of the shock tube. The damping is road-dependent. During most driving functions, the shock absorber tube is adjusted comfortably and with little effort before the PDS intervenes in the last part of the shock absorber tube stroke. However, the advantages of the Telelever* system are reinforced by the precise reaction of the damper tube Touratech. High and Low Speed damping adjustment allows very precise adjustment to achieve the desired ride comfort.

To avoid error messages appearing on the display related to the DDC (Dynamic Damping Control) system when changing to Extreme suspension from Touratech Suspension, Touratech has created an optional disabling connector (01-045-5879-0) for the BMW. This ensures that the ASC, ABS and DTC modes continue to function smoothly.

The base configuration mounted here is set for a rider with up to 100 kg luggage included. There is the possibility of adaptations in case of much higher loads or for other special requirements.
