This shock tube is perfect for lowering the seat height (-50mm) on the BMW R1200GS. The low suspension in premium quality from Touratech is still the best without restrictions for normal riding and touring and is designed for frequent and accentuated changes in load and riding condition. From the rear bag to the loaded luggage system and/or with passenger function, any type of load can be compensated for thanks to the large adjustment range. The balance of the motorcycle can be restored quickly and easily with the hydraulic spring tensioning knob. The very finely adjustable damping in the compensating reservoir allows an effective, precise and riding style-adapted suspension setting for any road conditions and purpose at any time,

Note:
To give your BMW R1200GS a stable position after lowering the suspension, we recommend the side stand (standard length) and alternatively the main stand from BMW.
These components are available from your dealer at BMW.


Properties of the suspension shock tube Touratech Highend:
+ The shock tube housing is made of aluminum.
=> This keeps the weight to a minimum.
+ All elements and components are designed for intensive use with heavy touring motorcycles.
+ Special seals with low friction are mounted.
=> This results in very low wear and long service life of the shock absorber tube.
+ Steel bushings for the clamping screws are mounted in the eye of the shock absorber tube.
=> This results in a stable and backlash-free seating of the clamping screw even under the highest loads.
+ Separating piston construction. This allows the damping fluids oil and nitrogen to act separately.
=> This results in a good reaction of the damper tube.
=> This results in high and precise damping performance even at very high damping frequencies (bad roads or tracks).
=> Improved cooling of the damper tube.
=> Minimal restrictions on the mounting position of the damper tube on the motorcycle.
+ Highend hydraulic spring initial tension via a very easily accessible knob.
+ Shock absorber settings have been developed according to the experiences and requirements of Touratech.
=> Based on the experiences and many kilometers of the Touratech Race-Team.
+ Damping setting of Highend pressure levels always separately adjustable in High Speed and Low Speed.
=> Thus very individual adjustment of pressure level and traction. Ideal adaptation to varying requirements.
+ Separate high-end compensating reservoir in the shock absorber group of the shock absorber tube.
=> Improved cooling of the damping during travel.
=> This results in higher load capacity and a longer service life of the shock absorber tube.
+ QR barcode on the shock tube with individual shock tube information.
=> This provides easy access to shock tube-specific information when scanning with a smartphone.
=> Information on the basic settings of the shock tube is always accessible. Reset option in case of an incorrect setting.



In case you have mounted a larger tank on your motorcycle than the original one or have made modifications to
additional luggage bags, adaptations can be made. We adapt the shock absorber tube
by means of a spring with a higher damping ratio individually to your requirements. Please use our suspension test form and send it back to us after completion.
