The rear axle cover is very exposed and suffers a lot when riding on unpaved terrain. It is not uncommon for it to receive damage so severe that it makes it impossible to continue on the road. Made offiber-reinforced composite plastic material, this guard is easy to install and will protect the somewhat vulnerable liquid-cooled GS final drive from rock or debris impacts while riding on or off-road. It is ideal for keeping scratches and dents out of the final drive housing, but is also strong enough to protect against major impacts and damage.
It comes complete with a stylish cover from Touratech to cover the lower pivot point of the final drive.

It exactly surrounds the contour of the cardan housing, like a protective hand and is made of extremely impact-resistant glass-fiber reinforced plastic.
