More info

GPS locator Monimoto 7 is an anti-theft device to effectively protect your motorcycle. As soon as it detects the first movements or vibrations on the motorcycle, the owner receives a call on his Smarphone indicating the location. This is possible thanks to the combination of GPS and GSM signals. The alarm is automatically activated when the owner moves away from his motorcycle together with the key Monimoto and is deactivated when the owner is near again.

Installation in less than 10 minutes

Monimoto installs quickly and can be easily hidden on your motorcycle or scooter. No installation by a professional is required. Cable-free installation.

Monimoto calls your phone after 1 minute if any motorcycle movement is detected and there is no paired security key nearby. Phone calls are more effective in attracting the owner's attention than just an automatic notification or text message.

The location details are sent to the app so you can also view all previous locations in the event log. The GPS location is updated every 5 minutes when Monimoto is moving or every 1 minute if frequent tracking mode is selected.

Automatically connects and disconnects

The device Monimoto automatically arms itself when you leave the motorcycle and disarms as soon as it detects your paired security key. There is no need to set up geofences in the app or click any buttons on the key. This means you will never forget to activate or deactivate the device.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. HIDE THE LOCATOR

Hide the locator Monimoto securely on your motorcycle. Position the GPS antenna upwards to get a better signal. The more difficult it is to find the locator, the better the chances of recovering the motorcycle.

2. DEACTIVATING THE PROXIMITY KEY LOCATOR

The locator is automatically deactivated once it detects that the proximity key is linked. You only need to carry the key with you - no buttons. We recommend that you carry it separately from the keys.

3. ACTIVATE THE LOCATOR BY REMOVING THE PROXIMITY KEY

As soon as you (and the proximity key) leave the motorcycle, the locator will no longer be able to detect the proximity key. When this happens, the locator and its motion detector will be activated. If someone touches the motorcycle, you will know it.

4. THE LOCATOR SENDS NOTIFICATIONS IF IT DETECTS MOVEMENT

When the locator Monimoto is activated and detects motion, it will check the Proximity Key once. If it is not found, the locator will go into Alarm mode and send you notifications about a possible theft.

5. LOCATOR CALLS AND SENDS GPS COORDINATES

In less than 1 minute after detecting motion and not detecting the Proximity Key, the pager will Monimoto makes a call to your phone. After the call, it will regularly start sending GPS coordinates to the App and will continue to update the coordinates if you continue to move until it stops. When it stops, you will receive a notification and the final location of the vehicle.

WHY IS MONIMOTO DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ALARM SYSTEMS?

Installation: almost no technical knowledge is required. No wiring or special tools are required. All you need to do is set up your GPS tracker Monimoto via the Smartphone app and install it on your motorcycle.

You do not need to recharge the battery every 2 weeks. The batteries of Monimoto have an autonomy of 10 to 12 months depending on usage.

Monimoto 7 has an international Virtual SIM card inside that works in most European and North American countries.

Monimoto does not drain your motorcycle's battery. Your motorcycle will always be ready to ride, and the installation of Monimoto influences the warranty of your motorcycle.

The GPS tracker makes calls to your cell phone in less than a minute to notify you about unauthorized use of your motorcycle. Other trackers only send text messages or emails, which nowadays can be ignored. The reality is that most people react to a phone call.

Monimoto is automatically activated and deactivated.

If they do, the alarm will not be activated until the motorcycle is at a greater distance, outside the reception area between the security key and the GPS tracker Monimoto. Security key Monimoto

Any kind of movement or vibration consumes the battery of the security key. While riding your motorcycle, power consumption is reduced by having the GPS locator nearby Monimoto. While the motorcycle is parked, power consumption is higher as the security key is out of range of the GPS tracker. This suggests that carrying the security key with you at all times is not efficient, and this is true. However, we also do not recommend leaving the security key near your motorcycle as it will leave it unprotected. When you park your motorcycle and go home or to the office, we suggest that the security key be stationary for greater energy savings.

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE BATTERIES OF MY MONIMOTO ARE RUNNING LOW?

You should receive a push notification when the battery level of the GPS tracker is low Monimoto is below 20%. Do not wait until they are completely depleted and replace them when notification is received.

The easiest way to get the latest battery level is to connect to the locator through the application in the settings tab. Once connected, the battery is checked and the latest level is displayed.

You can also check the status of the red LED inside the locator. If it flashes one long flash every second, the battery is very low.

HOW LONG WILL MONIMOTO OPERATE IN ALARM MODE?

In alarm mode, the batteries are quickly depleted. It depends on whether Monimoto is moved continuously or not (the batteries run out faster if it is moved), but they can last about 10 days. New batteries have enough autonomy for up to 500 location notifications.

WHAT TYPE OF BATTERIES DOES THE MONIMOTO GPS TRACKER USE?

GPS locator Monimoto (MM5/MM6) comes with two CR123A batteries that can be easily found in most electronics or photo stores. Once the battery level reaches the critical level (Don't worry, you will be notified), simply open the finder, remove the old batteries, insert new ones and close the finder.

IMPORTANT: You should not use rechargeable batteries if you find any for sale. They have different electrical parameters and we cannot guarantee that Monimoto the battery is not functioning properly and the correct battery level is not displayed.

Also do not use new and old batteries together, as this will lead to a false battery level indication in the app.

WHICH SMARTPHONES CAN BE USED WITH MONIMOTO?

Monimoto is compatible with all iPhone models from iPhone 5S onwards, iOS version 10.3.1 or later; Android version 5.0 or later. The only other condition: your smart phone must have Bluetooth 4.0 or higher (BLE) as the connection between your phone and Monimoto uses this technology. Monimoto does not work with Android Marshmallow 6.0.

IN WHICH LANGUAGES IS THE APP AND NOTIFICATIONS AVAILABLE?

English, Italian and French are currently the languages of our application and of all push notifications and events. New languages will be introduced in the future.

CAN I RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS ON SEVERAL SMARTPHONES?

Yes, it is possible. You can receive push notifications (but not calls) to as many phones as you want. All you need to do is log in with the same account (Your phone number that you used to configure Monimoto for the first time is your account ID). All auxiliary phones will have limited access to Monimoto (This is called cloud access). For example, you will not be able to configure the settings of Monimoto from them, but you will receive automatic notifications on all phones in case of an alarm.

SHOULD I ALWAYS KEEP BLUETOOTH TURNED ON IN MY SMARTPHONE?

GPS locator Monimoto uses Bluetooth only for initial pairing and for adjusting the settings. Therefore, it is up to you whether or not you want to keep Bluetooth enabled. Bluetooth 4.0 is a low-power technology and does not have a significant effect on your phone's battery when it is in use
