The Tech-Air® 5 is a compact, self-contained airbag vest that can be worn under any textile or Tech-Air® compatible jacket, or any leather jacket with 4 cm of space around the circumference of the rider's shoulders.

The Tech-Air® 5 Airbag Vest offers unmatched upper body protection, keeping riders safe by uniquely covering the shoulders, chest, ribs and full extension of the back effectively and efficiently, minimizing the risk of shoulder and back injuries to riders.

The Tech-Air@ 5 vest from Alpinestars provides the most complete coverage of any airbag currently available.

The Tech-Air® 5 vest is designed to be worn under any textile jacket, provided that the jacket is large enough to accommodate the expansion of the airbag in the event of an accident. In the case of textile jackets, this requires an additional 4 cm of space around the circumference of the body.

For those riders who want to wear a sport leather jacket, the Tech-Air 5 can also be worn with Tech-Air@ compatible leather jackets, which have built-in leather expansion panels to accommodate airbag inflation.

Riders wishing to wear a leather jacket that is not Tech-Air® compatible should ensure that the leather jacket has an additional 4 cm of space around the circumference of the entire chest.

PROVEN EFFECTIVENESS:

Developed from years of research with the world's best MotoGP riders and Alpinestars customers, data from millions of kilometers and thousands of crashes has been analyzed to constantly improve the intelligent crash detection algorithm. Upon identification of a crash situation, a protective airbag is deployed, providing unmatched rider protection with a maximum inflation of 20 to 40ms depending on the volume of the airbag size.

INNOVATION:

The state-of-the-art Tech-Air® 5 vest comes with an active electronics system featuring six integrated sensors (3 gyroscopes and 3 accelerometers) and a crash algorithm that leverages AI to precisely control when to deploy the airbag in the event of a crash.

PROTECTION:

Shock absorption while wearing the airbag causes the impact force to decrease by up to 95% compared to a passive protector. The Tech-Air® 5 airbag system offers the same protection as the 18 back protectors.

EASE OF USE

The system is extremely easy to use; just zipper up the vest and close the magnetic flap and you are ready to ride. An LED display indicates the operating status of the airbag and the integrated and certified lithium-ion battery lasts for 30 hours of driving. The system comes equipped with a magnetic micro USB charger for quick, easy and convenient recharging.

CONNECTIVITY:

Bluetooth connectivity with the Tech-Air® app allows access to the system's operating status, battery status and analysis of your ride, which even includes plotting your route on a map. The app can also update the system's firmware when enhanced crash detection algorithms are released.

STREET + RACE RIDING MODES

In addition to motorcyclists being able to ride protected during their daily commute, they can now easily switch to race riding mode and ride on closed circuits. The new Tech-Air® application allows riders to easily switch between STREET and RACE riding modes. Race Riding mode should only be used for closed course riding and not for any other type of riding.
