Smart Jacket LS is a ventilated motorcycle jacket that combines the versatility of a light andairygarment with the intelligence and maximum protection of the Dainese D-air® airbag system. It does not require any connection to the bike, so it can be used as a normal technical motorcycle jacket. Made of a high quality, abrasion resistant and ventilated fabric, this jacket is ideal for the hottest days as it guarantees excellent breathability and comfort, allowing the jacket to be adjusted to the rider's body thanks to an adjustable elastic waistband.

The Dainese D-air® system used in MotoGP™ and developed during more than 25 years of research, monitors what is happening around the rider 1,000 times per second thanks to its 7 sensors. And all this without the need for cables or connections, as it independently detects a dangerous situation and automatically and immediately activates the "shield", made with microfilaments that offer the highest level of protection on the chest and back, also limiting the movements of the neck and helmet. The microfilament structure ensures rapid, controlled and uniform inflation, so that the same level of protection is guaranteed over the entire surface protected by the "shield". The system activates and protects you in the event of slips, falls, impacts with an obstacle or another vehicle and rear-end collisions, even when stationary.

The Dainese D-air® system of the Smart Jacket LS offers, in the covered areas, the equivalent protection of 7 level 1 rigid back protectors, without having to insert an additional rigid back protector. But for those who prefer it, there is a dedicated back pocket for an extra Pro-Armor back protector.

In addition, the Smart Jacket LS features removable Pro-Armor Level 2 Type B protectors at the elbows and shoulders. Pro-Armor technology offers the highest level of extremity protection combined with full mobility and exceptional ventilation, thanks to its smooth structure and 40% ventilated surface of the covered area.

And for added convenience while riding, it comes equipped with 2 zippered side pockets for easy storage of personal essentials that you want to keep close at hand.

how to size your Smart Jacket?

The Smart Jacket can be worn over or under any jacket. To choose the size that fits you best, just follow these simple steps:

If you are thinking of wearing the Smart Jacket under your regular motorcycle jacket, just measure your chest size with what you are going to wear as your first layer (base layers, undershirt, jersey...).

* It is recommended to have about 5 cm (2 inches) of space between your base layers and the jacket, both front and back, to have room in case of activation.

If you want to wear it over your motorcycle jacket, just measure your chest while wearing it. If the jacket has armor, please make sure they are on before measuring.

There is a reasonable degree of expansion in the jacket and it should fit under/over most items based on your standard chest size, the only variable might be, for example, over a large bulky touring jacket.
