Modular helmet Schuberth C5 Eclipse

We've been waiting for this for a long time, and we're thrilled it's finally here! A new A-class flip-up helmet with all kinds of modern features and specifications. This is theSchuberth C5, the long-awaited successor to the legendary C series.

The German premium forge Schuberth presents the successor to the successful C4 Pro flip-up helmet. Dual P / J homologation, ECE 22.06 and carbon inserts are not all that the new C5 has to offer. Let's take a closer look:

The outer shell of the helmet is manufactured according to the advanced principle of direct fiber processing and comes in two different shell sizes, that's nothing new. However, what is different is that the fiberglass outer shell has now been reinforced with an additional carbon layer for the first time. This is beneficial for the strength of the outer layer, but also helps to keep the weight down. The weight is approximately 1640 grams in the smallest shell size, which is fine for this type of helmet.

The advent of ECE 22.06 approval is one of the most important innovations in helmet land. With this inspection, motorcycle helmets are exposed to higher requirements that helmets must meet as a minimum. For example, helmets are now also tested for impact with a rotating movement and on accessories such as a sun visor or an integrated communication system. This benefits the quality and safety of all new helmets, and yes! the Schuberth C5 has successfully passed the new ECE certification 22.06.. This new top helmet also has the P/J homologation which allows you to ride with the chin guard up on public roads.

The helmet has an improved aerodynamic shell and really goes back to the core of the highly successful C3 in terms of design. Compared to the C4, the helmet has also become more compact, which is very pleasant to wear in comfort. The large outer visor is prepared for a Max Vision Pinlock 120 anti-fog lens, which is of course included with the helmet. The visor also features the new Memory Function system, with which the visor remains in the same position when the chin guard is raised and then folded back down.

The new C5 is prepared for the Bluetooth SC2 communication system from Schuberth. This system is based on the 50S from SENA, which means that this helmet features the MESH 2.0 system. This allows you to connect up to 24 passengers in a group mesh intercom conversation, and in an open mesh intercom conversation, the number of passengers is even unlimited!
