Hyde XT Drystar®XF motorcycle jacket from Alpinestars

The Hyde XT Drystar®XF jacket is designed for the heavy off-road and/or dual sport side of the adventure touring category. With a single-layer, extremely lightweight, four-way stretch waterproof outer shell main shell construction, the Hyde XT Drystar®XF jacket is reinforced with ripstop nylon on the outer arms and shoulders for high levels of durability.

As the name suggests, the Hyde XT has a waterproof and highly breathable Drystar®XF (XF for extra flow) laminated membrane for excellent wet weather performance. The breathable and waterproof Drystar®XF laminated membrane is of great benefit to wet-weather riders because it makes the jacket super compact and keeps it very light.

The advantage of Drystar®XF is that it does not allow water to penetrate or penetrate into or through the shell, as the membrane keeps the jacket from getting soaked and heavy and protects the rider from the elements, as well as preventing wind chill, all while allowing the fabric to breathe.

The Hyde XT adapts to the weather, with its long direct vent ports on each side at the front and back, zippered air intakes on the forearms and Super-airflow panel in the zippered front opening that provides plenty of ventilation and breathability when the weather turns warm. Internally, the Hyde XT has a removable armored mesh inner jacket that zippers closed with Nucleon Flex Plus CE Level 1 armor.

Since the Hyde XT has a greater focus and potential for off-road riding, the inner mesh jacket is designed to keep the armor close to the rider's body for maximum comfort and protection, eliminating any movement restrictions related to the interaction of the outer armor and the armor when muscling an off-road bike.

The armored inner mesh jacket is also fully upgradeable to Nucleon Flex Pro armor level 2 and is Tech-Air® ready to accommodate Tech-Air® 5 or, in the future, the Tech-Air® OFF-ROAD system (when the product becomes available) for the ultimate in rider protection.

Extremely versatile, the Hyde XT Drystar®XF also comes with a removable inner armored mesh jacket, allowing the Hyde XT to function as a casual garment when you're not riding, or also as the perfect everyday jacket.
