Steering Bumper Protection from Touratech for BMW R1250GS/ R1200GS (LC)

This steering stop protector from Touratech adds critical extra protection to the chassis, steering and suspension components of your R1200GS .

By reinforcing the front suspension arm and adding an extra cushioned steering stop, this protector will help prevent damage to the original steering stops and suspension in the event of a crash or "tank hit".

In severe conditions, the original steering stops can break off the chassis, causing very costly damage, or even worse, totaling the motorcycle.

Even in small crashes or when the motorcycle tips over, the front wheel, for example, can crash so badly that the standard installed steering stop is bent at the footpeg or sheared off. Replacing the calliper is more expensive and troublesome, and there may be other parts that need to be replaced. The steering damper is made of laser-cut stainless steel and strong, shock-absorbing synthetic parts. In addition, a small amount of travel has been cushioned by the rubber buffer.

The stainless steel part is coated with a black plastic powder coating.

This protector is an inexpensive insurance against very serious damage to the chassis of your BMW.
