AIM multifiber shell

The shell of the Shoei GT-AIR 3 helmet integrates AIM technology that offers high rigidity and very light weight. The shell structure is composed of several layers of fiberglass and organic fibers with a capacity to distribute impact energy with optimal rigidity.

EPS shock absorption system

The new GT-AIR 3 has an EPS made up of different parts with different density materials for shock absorption. When an impact occurs, it is absorbed progressively and effectively in balance with the rigidity of the shell. The EPS incorporates a series of channels for the air coming from the ventilation systems to circulate freely inside the helmet, thus obtaining a highly effective evacuation of hot air and humidity from inside the helmet. In addition to improved shock absorption and ventilation, precise placement of the EPS results in a more compact and lightweight helmet design.

Micrometric safety closure

New, more compact version of Shoei 's successful micrometric safety closure that makes it easy to put on and take off the helmet. The locking mechanism is made of 100% stainless steel instead of plastic to ensure safety and to meet the standards of Shoei. The width of the strap has also been reduced and is woven with high strength and high elasticity fibers improving comfort and fit in the neck area without compromising safety.

Safety system E.Q.R.S.

The GT-AIR 3 is equipped with the emergency quick release system E.Q.R.S. This system allows medical personnel to easily remove the side padding from the helmet of the injured rider. Once removed, the helmet can be safely removed from the rider's head without having to strain the neck area thus avoiding possible injuries.

Integrated communication system

After the successful design of the integrated communication system in the GT-Air 2, the new GT-Air 3 introduces a new integrated communication system called Shoei ComLink together with the new intercom SENA SRL3, which has a more compact and minimalist size that integrates seamlessly with the helmet design without affecting aerodynamics and safety and goes completely unnoticed.
