New outer shell

The outer shell of the new Quantic has been made using the PB e-cLc construction technique, which has made it possible to produce a quality helmet and reduce its weight, without compromising the helmet's shock absorption performance Arai produce a quality helmet and reduce its weight, without compromising the helmet's shock absorption performance. The Quantic has an additional perimeter reinforcement made of Super Fiberglass, something that has allowed to further strengthen the shell, also creating a practical support base for the placement of any communication system outside the helmet.

VAS visor, new position, better performance

With the new VAS system of the visor, the position of the visor closing mechanism has been reduced, offering approximately 24 mm of extra space in the temple area, looking for the ideal way to reduce the direct friction energy to the helmet in case of an accident. As a result of this modification, the helmet has a lower, impact-absorbing chafing zone along the standard test line of the famous Snell safety certification.

Ventilation

The new ventilation system of the Quantic consists of 13 total air intakes: 7 inlet and 6 outlet or emission. The integrated air intake positioned above the Arai logo in 3D (optimized for low speed ventilation), the new air intake in the chin guard area, the Tear-Ducts derived from the air intakes used in F1 and the rear exhaust spoiler inherited from RX-7V Racing ensure constant airflow inside the shell and a super efficient extraction of hot air from the rear of the shell.

The new air intake integrated inside the Arai 3D logo (only 3.5 mm thick) is one of the great advantages that this helmet has obtained, it houses two 10 mm ventilation channels. being the first time that Arai makes this type of design. In fact, this solution has been possible thanks to the excellent strength of the shell and its new PB-e cLc manufacturing process.

The new configuration of the air inlet in the front area of the chin guard allows to further increase the air flow inside the shell. It has 3 different positions (open, closed or half open) and contains a sponge that can be replaced for the filtration of possible impurities from the outside.

The air enters directly into the upper area, through the forehead and temple inlets, without the need for the shell to be pierced in this critical area and in the shockproof liner.

In addition to optimizing aerodynamics to the maximum, the rear spoiler allows optimization of the 3 rear air zones inherited directly from the RX-7V. These have been optimized for Touring type use of the helmet, but have also been tested on the famous Suzuka circuit at speeds in excess of 300 km / h.

The rear spoiler is a fundamental part of the Quantic's ventilation system, being also able to regulate the air flow (top and side) around the helmet, reducing the typical wind shocks in highway overtaking with the result of minimizing neck muscle fatigue. It is designed to be as thin and light as possible, so that it can be easily removed in the event of an impact , avoiding injuries when doing so.

New air vents have been designed in the lower part of the helmet to facilitate the extraction of warm air from inside the shell by creating low pressure behind the rear vent for better extraction. Fully integrated into the shell for improved aerodynamics, they significantly reduce noise and prevent vibrations at high speeds. Inside, a small foam barrier helps absorb and reduce excessive noise without compromising ventilation efficiency.

The layout of the helmet's new air inlets has been designed to guarantee maximum air intake even at low speeds (below 50km/h) and can be easily opened or closed even when wearing gloves, thanks to the practical mechanism located at the top. As we are used to from the Japanese brand, the air intakes of the helmets Arai are specially designed so that in case of impact they literally jump from the surface of the helmet, to avoid possible neck injuries.

The interior

The interior of the Quantic has been manufactured in high quality textiles, such as brushed Nylon, being taken as a reference the Profile-V and RX-7V padding but designed completely from scratch, these designs facilitate and maximize the airflow of the ventilation system inside the helmet, as well as ensure maximum comfort even after numerous uses. The inner pad and cheek pads are also removable, washable and customizable in several millimeters for a perfect fit on the rider's head.

The cheek pads can be easily removed. The interiors (even the non-removable ones) can be washed with warm water and neutral soap, the correct way would be: rinse well after washing and never do the drying in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

Ready for speakers

New integrated communication systems are becoming very popular with motorcyclists, however, the problem is often that space for speakers is limited or simply non-existent, which can cause annoying pressure points in the ears. The Quantic has been designed with this in mind, so it has been provided with specific areas for speaker housing (these are not included with the helmet)

To increase comfort in the jaw area, the Facial Contour System (FCS) uses foam support in the cheek pads to maximize grip, providing the necessary support without putting excessive pressure on this area.

The inner temple pads called "Peel Away" from Arai offer the option of adding a 5 mm thickness to improve this fit.
