Custom motorcycle culture is no longer just a trend, but has grown into a lifestyle like music and fashion. The new EX-Zero is the full-face helmet for classic lovers, which brings together the latest technology from Shoei and at the same time a vintage look.
From a design point of view, the EX-Zero follows the lines of the 1980's "EX" series from Shoei but with a very compact and refined style, a great combination for those motorcyclists who love customization.
The outer shell has been manufactured using the exclusive technology of Shoei AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix) which provides great rigidity and elasticity together with a very light weight thanks to the use of different glass fibers and organic fibers. Safety is guaranteed by complying with the strict standards of each country.
In addition, a tapered shape has been adopted for the chin guard which contributes to reducing the force of the wind on the rider's head.
We use a shock-absorbing interior made up of two parts of different density. When an impact occurs, it is absorbed progressively and effectively in an appropriate balance with the rigidity of the shell.
The EX-Zero is equipped with the emergency quick removal system E.Q.R.S.. This system allows medical personnel to easily remove the side padding from the helmet of the injured rider. Once removed, the helmet can be safely removed from the rider's head without having to strain the neck area, thus avoiding possible injury.
The visor or shield is one of the important points affecting the rider's safety. The EX-Zero is equipped with the CJ-3 visor, which offers excellent performance, but without sacrificing style to maintain that vintage touch of the helmets of yesteryear.
The shield has a rounded shape emulating the shape of classic glasses. The bottom is very similar to the old bubble shields.
Helmet interiors are essential factors for a well-fitting and comfortable helmet. The EX-Zero combines both factors, but we have also made it match a classic style with small details such as leather finishes on the base of the helmet and Nobuck on the inside of the shield to avoid possible reflections caused by the sun.
As with other models, the central and side padding is fully removable for easy maintenance.
The cheek padding ensures a firm fit thanks to multiple layers of polyurethane of different hardness depending on the area of the rider's face. We paid a lot of attention to the profile of the side padding and the hardness of the polyurethane foams was adjusted part by part to eliminate possible gaps, thus improving the noisiness according to the profile of the goggles.
The central cushion matches the contour of the rider's head thanks to the 3D Full Support Inner system.
If a perfect fit is desired, 3 sizes of side padding and 3 additional sizes of central padding are available.
The design of the chin guard air intake has been carefully designed, the shape of the holes and the aluminum protective grilles give a more aggressive look and a neo-retro feel to the EX-Zero.
