Front and rear shock absorber "progressive" spring kit for BMW R1250GS LC / R1200GS LC / R1200GS Adv

The stock shocks on the BMW R1200GS and GSA motorcycles have proven to underperform for most riders. If you ride with luggage or a passenger, or if you weigh more than 77 kilos with gear on, you will definitely feel the difference in performance that these progressive springs offer. The springs progressively get firmer as they compress, which means the closer you get to bottoming out, the more they will resist. Your bike will bottom out and feel more stable when pushed hard into corners with this kit. On and off road, you will feel more confident, stable and comfortable while riding.

These progressive spring dampers are also available in a LOW version, which will reduce your seat height by approximately 20mm (0.8 inches). This is the easiest and most economical way to lower the seat height of your R1250GS/ R1200GS or GSA so that your feet are planted more firmly on the ground. The lowering springs work by making the top 20mm of travel soft enough for the weight of the motorcycle and rider to absorb the excess travel instantly, effectively lowering the seat height by 0.8 inches. No modifications to the original shocks are necessary, but you may want to shorten your side and/or center support.

The progressive springs are perfectly matched to the BMW R1200GS LC and offer clearly improved reaction and increased safety in extreme situations. By exchanging the front and rear springs you will achieve a considerable improvement of your shock absorbers.
