Prefilter for Yamaha Tenere 700

On many of our trips through countries with a lot of drought and dust, as well as on most of our participations in sporting events or rallies, we had the problem that fine dust, through the air filter, entered the intake section. Sometimes with noticeable consequences for the engine.

If you ride your Yamaha Tenere 700 on dry and dusty terrain, a foam air filter is a must. Nothing protects your engine against small particles, dust and sand as well as an oiled foam UNI filter. An original paper filter can't handle the kind of dirt from a long off-road adventure.

An additional advantage of these filters is that they are completely washable and reusable. After a dusty trip, simply pull the filter, wash, oil and reinstall. The high quality foam material ensures that the filter will last for many rides.

Tip

- In road use, the air filters should also be checked between the actual maintenance intervals and cleaned if necessary due to their design (foam).

- In off-road sports, the air filter is generally checked, at least after every race, and is therefore automatically within the regular maintenance intervals.
